Quite a rarity in the natural deodorant world, we've made this a roll-on formula which uses magnesium and zinc as the main active ingredients. Usually a deodorant with these actives would be in a paste form because they are powder and do not mix into water. We made a suspension instead so you don't have to deal with pastes.
We’ve used a diverse team of natural ingredients to provide prolonged four-part protection for your underarms.
First, magnesium oxide gently raises the skin’s surface PH to be inhospitable to bacteria.
Astringent non-nano zinc oxide and witch hazel work together to kill bacteria, shrink pores and minimise wetness.
Enter zinc ricinoleate which has the pretty cool ability to encapsulate odorous particles. Bittering hops extract and clarifying essential oils further inhibit bacterial growth and provide odour-masking properties.
With allantoin (from comfrey) and vitamin E keep your pits soft and happy.
No alcohol, no baking soda, no aluminium.
Baking soda is the most common active ingredient in natural deodorants, but it’s pretty harsh and users of baking soda deodorants are prone to sensitivity issues, sometimes not until months down the line. It can make your pits red raw because of the high alkalinity!
So, we chose to use magnesium oxide instead, because it works in a more slow and prolonged manner, making it much more gentle than baking soda but just as effective.
Natural deodorants are not antiperspirants, but the right additives can help curb an excess of wetness.
As with any natural deodorant, you might want to re-apply if you’re about to workout after a day of wear already.
Note: If you’re changing from an aluminium based ‘antiperspirant’ deodorant there may be an adjustment period where you might feel extra sweaty as the pores aren't being plugged up by aluminium. After a week or so your pits should regulate naturally.
Sweat is ok, we just don't want it to smell! Sweat only starts to smell when bacteria gets involved so an effective deodorant controls bacterial growth whilst also looking after your underarm area.
